I agree with Selkie; "truth", which can lead to self knowledge and acceptance, which can make ones spirit sing. Nothing can take the place of true ( not drug induced) peace of mind...not all the money, beauty, or material possessions in the world. Come to think of it, music is the spirit's song, for good or ill.

The occasional glimpses of nature which remind us that the world was once perfect. (My favorites include the way sun can beam at a slant from behind rain clouds, and the bubbling sound of a small waterfall.)
