When Bill Clinton was campaigning for president the first time, he said in a statement "I AM SICK TO DEATH OF HEARING ABOUT FAMILY VALUES!!!" So I dunno.

I am a liberal, a little left of Gandhi.
I had 2 sons, 2 step-daughters, all grown up now, and see my grand-daughter every few days. Most of us are very close.
I certainly believe in the value of family loyalty and togetherness. I cherish my children, whether they do what I want them to or not.
I also, believe in gay marriage, and that gays should be able to adopt. I believe in abortion, and the right to bear arms. I was in the military for almost 20 years, and am against war.for just about any reason. I do not believe in capital punishment, but I would defend my family to the death. I love the United States, but we are often misguided and greedy and stupid, just as individuals are.
I also think that if my family mistreats me, or cheats me, I am free to avoid them and even press charges, if necessary.
Lumping ALL LIBERALS into some pile that doesn't or does believe in all one thing, is not conducive to understanding and tolerance of other views.
All liberals don't exactly agree on everything anymore than all conservatives do. I know a very conservative, Christian woman who doesn't believe in abortion, or gay marriage, but she has inter-racial children and drinks a lot. There are conservatives who would have a fit about her stand on race or over-indulging in alcohol. There are liberals who would have a problem with her alcoholism, and marriage stance.
We are individuals. You, too. Quit trying to cubby-hole people and listen.
What exactly are you trying to address with your question?

Are you simply out to smear liberals and start crap or what? All your posts are "liberals this, liberals that". Find a real question. Most conservatives are actually Atheist. Yes...polling my friend. Most liberals have families, why wouldn't they believe in family values. Here is a question to you - Do you believe in construction or destruction? Because pointing fingers (and libs are guilty too) is not problem solving. Its idiocy and whiny and why the rest of the world views us as idiots. Both libs and cons have resorted to schoolyard tantrums and it is sickening.

That depends on your definition of "family values". Is apathy a family value? How about anger, greed or vanity?
(You may recognize some of these, but I won't list all 7.) If those are "family values" then I think most conservatives have a huge lead on us liberals.

Let me tell you about my family values. I believe in fairness. I believe in compassion. I believe in tolerence. I believe in "giving something back". I believe in the "sanctity of life", not just the unborn, but the already-born. These are my family's values. I don't see too many conservatives preaching these.

No. All liberals feed doody to their children and preach only to lie, cheat, and steal from others. My liberal parents taught me that to succeed in life I need to beg for everything and that hard work is a ploy created by the white man to take our minds off of being lazy, which of course is the key to a good life. When I talk I curse non stop and show everyone my genitalia at the blink of eye. They also told me that people who ask questions such as this one are equivalent to the green stuff that grows on top of cow ponds.

That is the most insulting question to ask of anyone.

Many hard working blue collar workers have solid family foundations and ethics and are "liberals".

Liberals are like conservatives, they have families, church, ethics, morals, etc. however unlike the conservatives, they do not speak of values on one hand and do the opposit, as is evidenced by so many of the televangelists on the rght who have been caught doing immoral things.

So please refrain from clouding your mind with drivel from talk radio hosts and try to apply logic for once.

The question is What are family values? please explain what they are exactly. Is it both parents working 10-14 hour days 6 days a week? Is it teaching children that Is it teaching our children that corporate and political greed is perfectly OK as long as no one gets caught? Is it teaching our children that as the so called leader of the free world it is OK to lie to get out of trouble(Clinton) or to start a war (bush)? So you tell me what family values are first and then ask this question.

Yes they believe the government should add to their family's value...by way of hand out money taken from those who have worked for it.

You are clearly insane, ot totally stupid, or a bit of both. That kind of rhetoric is just plain dumb. Since we would destroy you on any issue, including so called family values, you would rather take the low road. Fool.

When did your last brain cell fall out of your head? Hate, lies, and smears is all you preach. There are too many liberal haters and too many conservative haters here and you all ask the same moronic questions over and over or just try and start an argument over "nothing" issues. Can't you all go to "Chucky Cheese" and make fools of yourselves there?

Liberals are normal people, just like you and your friends. Whatever the far right has been saying about liberals that make them all sound psychotic, it's not true.
When real people talk about real issues, they find that they aren't that far apart in their opinions. However, sound-bites repeated over and over can eat their way into your brain, til that's all you think about the subjects in question.
