Definitely the surround sound and the big screen. But what I really like about movie theaters is the rest of the audience. I love it when the strangers looking at the movie along with me react to some event taking place within the movie.
In other words the atmosphere is what I like best.
Cannot replicate the atmosphere even if you can afford the big screen and the surround sound.

The huge viewing screen and the richness of the sound. I'd love to have a big mansion with my own theater room! Maybe someday...

Big screen, Kick *** sound system, and if it's a hot summer day the AC...it's like heaven on earth for a movie buff!!

the best thing for me is that u get to watch a new movie on big screen and on a surround sound system and u can enjoy it with u'r friends.

bigger screen and usualy surround sound if they have all the speakers working..
I hate it when the only speakers that seem to work are probably attached to the screen. I went to a movie a few years ago that was damn well hard to hear.

the sound is better, the screen is bigger and you can get the whole experience. I get goose bumps when I'm in a theater but at home i don't.
