Ethnic identieis changes once they develop generations.
In Northern Africa ,way back we had the blacks only and now a mulatho type people there. Similarly, in South America there are mixed identies seen. It is better we call them with the concerned nation. Human urges made different kinds of people in different places. This has been unavoidable in the history. When British managed their colonial affairs in India, they generated Anglo Indians .Chinese have mixed with the white in so many places.
Let them be called by the respective nationality

Here's some food for thought: Why do Americans call blacks African Americans? After all, not everyone who's black is an African American. (I have a black friend who's from the Caribbean.) I am of European descent, why not call me a European American?

Carribean blacks are descendants of African slaves brought over to tend the sugar cane and tobacco plantations in early colonial American Islands.

No - and white europenas do NOT like to be called "European American"

I have a friend who hated being called "African American" because he was black but English (not African or American). I hate being called "European American" because although I am from a european country I would NEVER EVER consider myself American - I view both terms as an insult.

Imagine calling an Aborigne and African American. PC terms are idiotic.

I favor to be black the purely connection I honestly ought to Africa is my ancestors. i have been advised by using many Africans that we black human beings ought to end calling ourselves African because we are no longer organic blood, and our ancestors are weak for procuring captured. So I call myself and one yet another American of Sub-Sahara African descent black. so some distance as what you should call black human beings properly, it thoroughly relies upon on the man maximum do not care both way. The politically maximum magnificent time period might want to be "African American" @Chris You white human beings are those who began calling us African American. no man or woman is preventing you from calling your self Euro-American.

when my husband was in high school, there was an exchange student from South Africa -- guess what, he was white! he ran for president of the African American society; they told him he was disqualified because he wasn't black. he said, hey I should be number one cause I'm the only one here who really is African American.
go figure that one out.
