No. For 3000 years Arabs and Jews have had jurisdictional disputes in the mid-east. We might consider this and insure that disputes remain civil -- no arms sales. Too late for that. How about doing everything we can do to rebuild Lebanon, which had been the miracle of the mid-east with Christians, Sunnis, Shiites, Jews, Druze, and non-believers living full lives in relative harmony and prosperity.

Hezbollah just deliberately targeted an Israeli kindergarten!!! They say they will fire bigger more powerful rockets deeper into Israel in the next few days.

Israel has the right to self defence.

Whilst all the major countries are saying there is a need for a ceasefire they are also recognising that a ceasefire is impossible whilst Hezbollah is still in a position to fire their rockets from the border areas. Therefore at the moment none are putting pressure on the Israelis for an immediate ceasefire but they are putting pressure on the Arab countries to intervene and get Hezbollah to ceasefire and withdraw so that it can become possible.

The one light at the end of the tunnel is that Syria is now talking against Hezbollah and Iran is seeking to be included in discussions. This may open the door to a debate on improving the security of the whole Middle East area. Lets hope so!!!

No it's not. The first step to resolve the issue is by pushing for an immediate cease fire to stop the killings of innocent civilians and THEN start working on the other issues that the United States has on it's agenda.

I need a little more than a "yes, perfectly right" to justify killing non-combatant women and children and decimating the entire infrastructure of a country (Lebanon). There are several things left unconsidered by those who think Israel can do no wrong as long as it says "We do it in self-defense".

Number 1
You do not have to support the most radical and violent in their country to support Israel. There are many Moderate Voices in both Israel and Palestine who are tired of the constant violence that tears down their countries and their Lives. They would find a way to work it out if the War Mongers in the US, Israel, and Palestine could be made to stop killing the Innocent long enough for a Dialog to produce results.

Number 2
The Religious Fundamentalists on BOTH SIDES give those who Profit from War just enough excuse to continue. I could go on and on about this but you either get it or you don't.

The most culpable of these right now is George Bush. There have been no Peace Talks for 5 years under his Administration. Small wonder the Region has degenerated into War.

Number 3
This problem did not begin in a day and it won't be solved in a day. Both sides have multiple claims to the Land depending on how far back you go. The Jews actually document in their own Book how they drove off the Inhabitants of the land originally. Both sides are going to need to compromise to settle this.

In my opinion the Peace Talks were working until George Bush stopped them. Now his Radical Conservative "Christian" ideas have caused more death and destruction than in recent memory. If I had to be that kind of "Christian" I'd just jump off a 20 Story Building head first.

Jesus' message was about Love: Loving your enemies as well as your Friends; loving the out cast and Powerless as well as those who can do you Material Good. "Do unto Others as you would have them do unto you" is how He summed up all the Teachings of Judaism that came before Him. Any thing less than Love misses the WHOLE point of Following Christ (the definition of Christianity).

Well my opinion of the war is a good thing!! I would rather have them fight and kill each other in their country than to come over here and kill and murder our women and children!!!

In my opinion they all deserve what ever they get anyways!!! They teach there children to throw grenades and bombs at our troops, burn our troops and hang them from bridges, and kill each other, not to mention the fact that the women(who are supposed to teach their kids the right way in life) go and strap bombs to themselves and blow people up!

These people are no better than dirt, all they believe in is killing each other they are no better than having a whole country full of Nazi's, that brutally kill each other for kicks!

I think they should stop letting this garbage into our country instead of bringing them here to kill our women and children!!!!!

I dont see that we have a choice.
We cannot ask Israel to sit still under missiles since Lebanon wont stop Hezbollah from firing them.
Yea....... we're right.
