Cannonball Run?

Question

Back in the early 80's there were two
(which also featured one of my favorite Ray Stevens songs)

Then in 1998 they did a sequel with a new cast. Even explained what happened to the orignal (the hotel was busted by the cops and all were arrested)

Had a more modern cast for it.


I would love to see a new Cannboball Run. Imagine what they could do today with it. So many racing actors, action stars, maybe cameos by original stars (Burt Rynolds and a few others are still alive).

problem with cameos in this case is who all is still alive.
What made those movies so big (cast wise) was that you had the Rat Pack: Frank sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, and more.
Burt Rynolds (was big at racing movies at that time)

and then some others.

But as far as i know the entire Rat Pack is dead.

Rynolds might do it. But he's geting old.. probably a small role.

Dom Delouis,,, if he could get away from the kitchen long enough.

Cathrine Bauch maybe

the guy who did the old whataburger comericals and studdered would be good.

I think Jackie Chan became famous in them so he could come back for it.

Also had a doc that was crazzy, if he's still alive.

I would stick with the first two movies to do the cameos from.. the real c.R's

Imagine how many actors can do cameo roles in the new movie!

Coupled with the new actors, each actor will probably get their 5 minutes of fame... literally.

i loved these movies because their are so reminiscent of the 80's,but if they made a third sequel right now,it's not certain if it would be half as good as the first ones.....for instance,look what happened with star wars.....to me,the"war of the clones" was the worst Lucas's film ever,unworthy of the Star Wars saga....

LMFAO... I LOVED THOSE MOVIES.... but it probably will ruin them to have a new one!!
