Not really.They are two totally different horses as is their temperament and movement.One is gaited and the other is not.So it all depends on what type of ridding you like.Having rode both I would say they are about the same.

No I thinks the Quarter Horse is the best ride there is. Fox trotters have a tendancy to be a little on the rough side, untill you get then into a smooth gate.

A Fox Trotter Is much hotter (hyper hot) than a Quarter Horse. Quarter horses are much mellower. Fox Trotters are ment for pacing as Quaters are ment for pleasure and ec..

A quarter horse is usually rougher. Fox trotters are gaited and that makes for a smoother ride.

yes kind of quarter horses are a lot bumpier when you ride but fox trotters gaited so when you ride they are very smooth and fox trotters are really good at pulling wagons

What in the world are you talking about? The question doesn't make sense. What do you mean by "harder to ride?" That's like saying, "what's harder, to walk to the store or to feed the pigs." With no additional information there is no way anybody could give any kind of a real answer.

I love quarter hoses.. and the difficulty of riding them varies with the breeding, make-up and over all personality of the horse.

No i think most Quarter horses r easier but it depends on their age and training level.

no way I love quarter horses they have the smoothest gait that I have ever come across.
