RSVP means to respond back to whatever you got asked to. Like a party...To RSVP to a party means you are letting that person know if you are going to the event or you aren't. I've never heard of asvp

R.S.V.P. stands for a French phrase, "répondez, s'il vous plaît," which means "please reply." The person sending the invitation would like you to tell him or her whether you accept or decline the invitation. That is, will you be coming to the event or not? Etiquette rules followed in most Western cultures require that if you receive a formal, written invitation, you should reply promptly, perhaps that same day.
A.S.V.P i have never heard of. Sorry i cant help you there.

rsvp is french (Respondez si vous plais) which literally translated means respond if you please. This is attached to invitations to let the person know who is coming to the party and how many they can expect. I have never heard of asvp.

What a weird lot of replies you received! The one that's exactly correct is chelsea b. She obviously knows what she's talking about. There's no commonly used abbreviation of A.S.V.P. around, but I'd suggest it's probably a (joking?) half-anglicised version of R.S.V.P. with the same meaning of "Please reply", in other words "Answer s'il vous plaît".
