What's even worse is the cops that bring in those Felons and Misdemeanor criminals make $30,000 to $40,000 a year and take all the risk.

The Supreme Court does not accept advertising as part of the package nor are they usually entertaining. The "goofball," however, is entertaining and, in spite of political correctness, does call a deadbeat a deadbeat and a fool a fool. It is very rare that I can disagree with her judgment on a legal basis.

that's alot of paper each way. in the world of justice, people are valued greatly but not given the world value of money in the related value as to that of the person in that certain world. The world of Judge Judy is based on values of entertainment where money is tossed a bit freely. the wrongness is in focusing on what Judge is making better choices for people and providing a better service.

Judge Judy gets through a hell of a lot more cases than the average supreme court judge, for one...
I love her, we need more like her.

Disparity in income has a lot to do with your chosen field.TV and movie actors are paid more than the President....Is that acceptable or not ?
To a person making minimum wage of $ 5.50 an hour both salary's are ludicrous. I certainly couldn't survive on that, could you ? But if I make $100,000.per year and my bills are double that then I would be just as poor as the minimum wage person ,abet more comfortable but just as poor. Its all relative I think......I know that few will like my logic but its true .

wow. that is disturbing. i think that a supreme court justice should be paid more because he/she helps real people with real problems. Judge judy just sits in her nice little leather chair and yells at people for talking!

It's a free market. Look at some of these thug athletes who pull $$$$$$$$$ because they have "talent" at something we love to be entertained by. Then look at teachers, police officers, firefighters, nurses and others who provide vital services everyday (and free for some, ie. not paying taxes) who can barely afford a home, raise a family and pay taxes on a modest income. Capitalism at its best and worst I guess.

Gee, I was just thinking that our judges are highly overpaid...especially considering many of the verdicts I am seeing lately.

Okay...well, all celebrities are highly overpaid and they aren't really that special and most of what they do in their careers is sh*t.
The world is sick and twisted and has backward views on everything.
