A well paid supreme court justice earns about one hundred thousand dollars a year. A goofball like Judge Judy gets paid over eight million dollars a year.

Same thing that's wrong with an actress getting millions to play a nurse, or a teacher, or whatever, in a movie while the real nurses and teachers are being paid crap. It's all about the entertainment dollars. I know Judge Judy really was a judge, but in her current situation, she's a performer providing entertainment.
Why just pick on Judge Judy? Justify the salaries of professional athletes when you consider what they do or don't contribute to society and our daily lives. What would make your life more miserable--if the garbagemen went on strike or if the baseball players did? Need I ask who makes more money, yet whose services are more necessary?

Nothing. Judge Judy works at a Hollywood studio for her show & a Supreme Court Justice works at the Supreme Court.

Judge Judy should not be earning all of that money, but the reason she gets paid so much is that it is the most watched court/judge show in america. That's y she makes so much

She really isn't a goofball, she was a top judge for the New York family court for many years and she has many years of education under her belt so if you ask me she's done her dues and is a pretty smart negotiator.

The only thing wrong with the picture is the irony.
Theres a lot of money to be made from fame, there is also a price to pay. Don't know if its worth it, after all, how much money does one person need to spend to be comfortable, the surplus is just wasted.
