Super Nintendo and Super Mario World. SNES started the whole next generation race. It was so much better than NES or Sega Masters that every game console since has had to really step things up.

games and console are cheaper and more durable

Sega Dreamcast. The video graphics accelerator and softening of graphics makes crappy TVs display crisp clean graphics almost in HD.
The best game ever for this system is Jet Grind Radio. Fun. Simple. Innovative and it's SEGA!!!

Atari is because it was simple and easy to understand. It also wasnt so graphic.... meaning not so violent. And the greatest games would be tied.... Super Break Out, Pong & Pitfall. Oldies are always goodies!
