A sort of simple question. Why are nudity and sex seen so negatively in society today? Alternatively you can try to persuade me that a parent who lets their child see them nude (In a non-abusive way, like the child just walks in) is a bad and is damaging them psychologically. I have seen both of my parents nude, I still do, and I am a teenager. I have not recognized any ill effects on my psychie, and I don't think I ever will.
As a random tidbit, remember, there are differences between a pair of breasts and a pair of "t*tties". There are differences between a penis and a "c*ck". It's all prurient interest. If you don't know what that is, google it.
If anything needs to be clarified, I'll be here for a while.

If you're wondering why this is in arts and humanities, I didn't really find another category that I thought fit.

That is a very good question and I think art and humanities is a very good place for it. After all there is a lot of nudity in art. I’m a photographer and when in undergrad I took a lot of drawing and sculpture classes. In every class we had nude models, men, and women, old, young. This is standard practice. When I took a photo studio class I was given an open project, I did classical nudes. The administration asked me to “re-think” my subject meter. They said it was bordering on pornography “Creative activity (writing or pictures or films etc.) of no literary or artistic value other than to stimulate sexual desire” because I was using film.

Society these days is confused. You get a hand full of people who are so closed minded that they can’t put on different color socks fearing impropriety. And this people start rocking the boat. Because truly they are the perverts who can not distinguish normal human behavior from perversion. There is nothing wrong with children seeing there parents in the nude, or for a group of friends to go to a clothing optional beach. There are tribes in the world to this very day that do not have clothing and they don1t seem to be suffering any negative effect.

The stigma comes from our history. We were a country founding on puritan beliefs which are still very present 300+ years later.
A side from that, there isn't a real reason to believe that you're child seeing you naked would damage them beyond belief, unless you make it a totally negative experience, (yelling at them, telling them its wrong or they did something bad, abusing them, those kind of things.) People are trying to get in touch with sexuality, and not stiffle their children as much as before.

...the question I ask myself is why is there such a stigma against decency?
...has society and safety changed sinse decency standards have lowered?
...my children and even grandchild have visited with me in the bathroom - everyone knows mom can't go to the bathroom by herself for some time.. but we see nothing wrong with clothing and privacy..
...hAs society changed? I remember when they said, "don't worry, if you don't like it, just change the channel" - now I'd have to live isolated in the wilderness.. [Just what is the Harlot of the Book of Revelation/Apocalypse]

If what you say is true (and I think it is far from obvious that it is), could it be that we feel a little guilty over our obsession with sex, using it without letup in advertising, entertainment, popular literature, and all other aspects of our culture? Guilt often leads to denial and a reverse hypocritical spin.

Because religious groups have led us to believe that it is sinful and dirty instead of a beautiful part of nature.
