people are STILL calling italy a bunch of cheaters??!!!
seriously, though. doesnt matter how many times you ask the same questions over and over and over....you cant change the fact that italy won!!!
and guess what???? whether they cheated or not, THEY STILL WON!!! and the world cup is NOT going to be taken away from them.
so relax already and get over it!

I know, eh? Just because everyone was expecting another country - say, Brazil - to win the World Cup, it doesn't mean people should go saying that Italy cheated. They did deserve the penalty kick in the match versus Australia; Neill was clearly making no attempt to get back to his feet while Grosso was approaching the goal. The referee saw and presided over the game, so whatever the television audience thinks, the referee was the one with control. Let's just face it: the results of the match ARE the results, and Italy clearly and rightfully won.

Yes. You're right. I'm an English bloke but Italy won the World Cup, thats the facts. Now lets move on. I don't understand why a French lawyer wants to go to court about it, as if F.I.F.A. will order a replay of the final. Lets look forward to the euros in 2008.

While I agree with your point, it is awfully amusing that someone identifying themselves with the Argentine flag should be urging the rest of us to just accept cheating in the World Cup. After all, soccer's current era of diving, injury-faking, grabbing and pulling, headbutting, handballing garbage seems to have begun with Argentina's "victory" in '86, when the entire Argentine nation glorified its cheating national team as heroes despite their despicable behavior (Maradona's handball goal as perhaps the most vivid example). From that time, the ethos of cheating has taken over the sport, and this most recent Cup tourney, with its dozens of cards and multiple suspensions, is the natural consequence of that decline. It seems only natural that an Argentinian would be encouraging us all to just sit back and accept that the game is now determined by how effectively its rules are ignored and broken. For myself, I started out cheering for Italy and ended up sick of the entire sport.

They don't want to accept the fact that Italy was the better team and won so they look for excuses and do things like convince themelves that Italy would have lost had Zidane still been on the field and stuff like that.

Hey, Lola, while you are here in the U.S. and trashing us, why don't you shut your mouth and get the psychiatric help that you need? You of all people should not be criticizing others for their accusations and then telling them to move on. You simply need help.
