To date, there is no scientific evidence to conclude that life as we know it exists except here on planet Earth. We can speculate and theorize, but that's about it until science discovers some evidence to the contrary.

We know there are billions of stars in our galaxy similar to our sun. We know there are *likely* millions of planets orbiting some of those stars that could sustain life. Given those numbers and probability, the odds that we are the only life in the galaxy is so infinitesimally small, that it would be utterly ridiculous *not* to assume there is life elsewhere in our galaxy. As a necessary consequence of the laws of nature, we will not be able to prove this until we are ready as a civilization. We have a long, long, way to go. However, this should not stop you from believing there is life elsewhere in the galaxy during your lifetime.

Of course there is. Out of the billions and billions and trillions of stars out there, why would humans be the only ones? What about valid UFO sightings? I think, for humans to believe we're the only ones, is a huge ego. Maybe, if we're lucky, aliens will begin to show themselves soon. I would love to see that day. This way, people's "solid" beliefs will be changed forever and society won't be as judgemental. It will also force us to re-think everything we've ever believed in.

I would guess that the odds of there not being life elsewhere in the Milky Way galaxy are astronomically low.

we still haven't discovered all the life on Earth. I think there is, but it's not necessarily looking for us. they may be in a primitive state. or maybe they're very advanced. i think the best answer is, we don't know.
