NOT GUILTY! Finally she will get the help she needs. She is not free by far, but any human being that did what she did to her five children has to be insane.

Back to your post. Is this suppose to be funny? Five children were murdered in a horrible way and yet, you think it's a joke.

If anyone has ever had post-partum depression/psychosis, you would have a little more understanding into how in the world this woman could do such a horrible thing to each of her children.

She obviously has had psychotic episodes before (based on testimony and the book); however, she was not treated for any psychoses, just depression.

When a person is having a psychotic episode, reality is mixed with the reality in their brain. It's not someone running around foaming at the mouth. The psychotic episode can come and go as well. You can have moments of clarity as well as moments of hearing voices that torment you, you are insane during a psychotic episodes as well as having extreme irrational reasoning.

When the two realities merge, (one of them is nonexistent to everyone else but you because you are the one that is psychotic), you have a sense about you; right and wrong; however, the psychosis takes control of your very soul. You look in the mirror, it looks like you, but it's not you. You look down at your hands, but they appear to be connected to you in some odd way. I felt like I was high off of the ground. My head was disconnected from my body. I was afraid I would hurt my son so I made sure I was never left alone with him. I felt he was evil in someway. Not the antichrist but some type of demon. I would go from that thinking to how could I think anything like that about my child. People are making me feel this way toward him. I blamed others for making me so anxious; however, I felt I was going to take it out on my son. Being psychotic or having an "episode" is something I would not wish upon my worst enemy. You see things that are not there. You hear things that are not there. I even smelled violets in the dead of Winter on my mother's porch. Everything had an aura around it. I had to keep my hand over my eyes because daylight made my head hurt so bad. It's nothing but a pure, tortured soul.

As you can tell, I've been there. I was lucky enough that my family did not ignore my symptoms. Also, I was told to NEVER have another child . . . and I haven't.

Also, my son is now 28 years old. I'm still on medication for chronic depression and anxiety.

Andrea Yates was insane when she murdered her children. She will be locked up the rest of her life but in a mental ward. Not too much different then prison. Daily routine, daily therapies, daily craft classes.

Your ignorance and attempt at making a joke about such horror this family has been through shows that you might have some problems of your own. Grow up.
