Well I would assume "forever," would mean the rest of a couple's lives, since we obviously don't live forever. But we can't know in the moment what the future holds...so sometimes people think they're going to love each other forever because they don't know what's in store. And that's okay. It's a mistake we all make and it doesn't make us bad people. I just don't use the word "forever," when it comes to love. I just try to live in the moment. You know...I love you NOW rather then I'll love you FOREVER.
Isn't "now," really all that matters in the very end?

That word is used very loosely. At the time it's said they people involved really believe it will be forever. It's not something that just happens. What they should say is we will do everything possible to make sure it's "Forever". That means staying true to each other, talking over problems, not trying to completely change each other, working out bumps when they come up. Then it will truly be "Forever.

Forever still exists in that, if you truly loved that person.. yes you may date others but you will always have a place in your heart for the last one.. and from time to time you think about them too - or at least I do. Sometimes I wish I didnt, but what can you do

Intentions are well meant, however, actions may speak for themselves....It's why when in a relationship you need to recognize the sincerity of your partner...many times its usually to late and hind-site that opens your eyes to their real intentions...don't be fooled more than twice...you hear what you want to hear and all is well, but if it doesn't materialize and you keep hearing empty promises then you need to recognize your partner is not a sincere partner....."forever", in a relationship is what you both make it to be.

Forever these days is until you find somebody new, then forever starts all over. But not in my case, i'll be with my husband forever. He's my bestfriend and soul mate.

If you take the time to really know someone, (like a couple of years) then you have a basis from which you can make a commitment to that person. That commitment is in the vows of marriage. "For better or worse"..."Till death do us part".
That is forever. until one of you dies.

Well, now days, "forever" is about 5 years, or until the "next great thing" comes along. Sad but true.

In marriage it means til death do you part. I think in every realationship even if you dont stay together there will always be 1 thing you remember that was good...so maybe the time frame is forever...good question.

For me "forever" really does mean forever. Of course, I wouldn't say that to just anybody, it's rare for me to feel that strongly about someone.
