I found out all the permits and stuff like that, but all i need to do is get a building, i have animals coming to me left and right already, i will not just leave them alone, i will treat them as pets untill someone adopts them, but where and how can i find a building of such size, in such short notice?
how can i raise enough money to buy this building?

start off small and save up to get bigger.
either buld small bildings for them in you garden (or sheds) untill you can find some where.
look for a old shop to rent then get a bigger place when you can afforded it.

try organiaing car boot sales with your friends and get people to donate stuff for them. or do a rafel and sell tickets.

be cairfull you dont take in too many. it is easy to get over whelmed and over crowded.

The foster home idea is a good start though at some point you will need either a shelter or a boarding place that will take in the ones you can't get into foster homes. The issue with the foster home idea is how do you get the pets adpoted out. For breed specific rescues it is a little easier as people call G.R.R.A.N.D. looking for a golden since that is what they have(thats where we got our 2 goldens.) My suggestion if you can make the foster care program work is to spend your time and money on a website and then advertise in local papers and go to dog or pet fairs and get a booth to help adpot them out.

If you are going to setup a building at some point I would suggest you slow down a bit and spend 3-6 month volenteering at a no-kill shelter near you if you can find one. Learn everything you can about how it works, where they get the volenteers, money, pet food and other donations. You can also learn what works and doesn't work well that way. During this time you can also be working on raising money and a support network.

I've spent quite a bit of time volenteering at no kill shelters and I can tell you that $ and volenteer help are always hard to maintain over the long haul. Running your own shelter is a lot of work.

Why don't you put an ad in the local newspaper, asking some kind soul to donate the use of the building? There are a lot of nice people who will help a cause such as this. Others will donate food and supplies. After that, raise money by doing fundraisers such as yard sales, (people will donate goods for that as well), children's carnivals (Use the animals to show as attractions), raffles (which will take permits) etc.

Put your thinking cap on there are a lot of ideas and this sounds like a good cause.

You could have a fundraiser. For now, maybe you should refer to other shelters, or find foster homes for the ones you are getting now. You could do a themed dinner party, like a "Lady and the Tramp" thing, you could sell tickets for a speghetti dinner and show the movie or have a dance or something. You could do a speed dating thing for dog lovers, cost is a donation to the shelter. Make sure you have the ability to make the donations tax deductable, people really like that. I have a ton of ideas, e-mail me if you wan more. Check at your real estate people around town, see if their are any buildings that are for lease, better yet, maybe you should look into buying a farm, with a barn and everything, this would probably be your best bet.

I've worked in cat rescue for years. Funding is always a problem. You might have to start with a network of foster homes if you have no place to keep them. Some pet stores and vets offices may also keep shelter cats to give them exposure for adoption.

I work at a shelter now that bought an old commerical building (former fast food restaurant) and rennovated it. They also have lots of fosters and use a pet store. Honestly, the woman who bought the place had the money to do it. That's rare. Have you looked into a bank loan?

prostitution. And after reading you answer regarding how to kill hamsters I hope you get locked up while you are "raising" money. I would suggest that everyone check out her answer. She actually suggested that some one feed a hamster an Alka Seltzer. These are the types of people you are all getting behind and supporting? No wonder this country is going to hell in a hand basket. You would have to be a total Idiot to do any of the things I have suggested. And that being the case I think this young lady should make quite a bit of money.

consider running a rescue, getting foster homes for the animals, having adoption days, and posting the animals on petfinder.com. I volunteer for a rescue. You would just need an office for yourself, and enough foster homes for the animals, and especially advertising. Be prepared to forster a few pets yourself.

You could put donation cans in the store. Raise the money for the fence and added on stuff then you could get volunteers to help put it up

There are national organizations (sorry - assuming you live in the USA) that can help with fundraising as well as getting you in touch with others who may be able to help.
