I love Reno! I lived in Reno/Sparks from the time I was 11 until sometime after I graduated high school..probably about when I was 21. Reno has THE MOST sun-shiny days in the NATION...betcha didn't know that! Also, you can get away to Tahoe whenever you want to cuz its only an hour and a half drive! OR you could go up to Virginia City--the famous Silver Lode and wild mustangs..Virginia City is a FABULOUS place!!! The only thing I don't like about Reno are the hellacious fricken windstorms from hell!

I have been to Reno many times on business and on pleasure. Its a nice little town with gambling. I could move there I liked it so much. Its a good place to live if you like skiing and the mountains and it really not too far to get to other things in San Francisco and the Napa Valley. Of course Lake Tahoe is right there and offer a lot of outdoor things also.

I was there for a week in May and I hated it! There's nothing to do except go to the casino's and watch shows or gamble. It's fun for the first couple of days, but then it gets really boring. It's an hour or more to see anything and when you're walking around, bums come up to you and beg you for money. We don't get that where we live and there's more people. It's dirty and gross. Unless you have to....don't go!
The only good part is the scenery, when we were there, there was snow in the mountains and it was 80 down in the city. That was kinda cool.
