If you join the Gold Prospectors Association of America, not only will you get a great video on how to pan for gold, you will also get a gold pan and rights to prospect on all their claims throughout the US and Canada. They have a message board on the official website http://www.goldprospectors.org/index.cfm where the members are most helpful on subjects from where to find gold to how to recover it.

U.S federal government has lots of good info on the subject in leaflet form at negligible price. It may now be on line. The particular leaflet that I had was designed as family oriented recreational activity.

Most of the mining colleges and schools will also be running some classes, Roll, MO, USA has an engineering college, under University of MO, it was started as mining school, now it is a full flaged university and a good engineering and mining institute.

I am sure you can get this info from Canadian government.

Banberry Farm a 6 Flag type operation use to conduct 1/2 hour classes (Laos Angeles, CA, USA). Even 6 flag in Pacific, MO, USA and Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO, USA, both had a pile of dirt containing gold flakes, for a S1.00 you can pan the gold-if you find some they would put it in a vial and authenticate it for you. They were also selling authenticated vial for additional price which employees were collecting as show and tell.

If Canada has top notch goaltending then they will win no doubt but if the goaltending is bad then probably Sweden or Russia. Provided Luongo has a good game I think it will be 1. Canada or Russia (who ever wins tomorrows game will win gold) 2. Sweden 3. USA or Finland probably USA And there is always the possibility that the Swiss pull an upset and beat the USA.
