Hey! I have very oily skin so I can help you out! The foundation I'm using now is great for the summer months! It's called Revlon Colorstay Active Light. It looks very natural, has good coverage, and does not get oily at all!! It last for like 8 hours! It has SPF 25 and a variety of shades. It'll cost you about 11 dollars, but I got mine on sale for 9. : )

Another foundation that I recommend is Covergirl Clean Oil Control Makeup. It has good coverage and doesn't show any shine! It's pretty inexpensive too, around 5 or 6 dollars, depending on where you go.

I hope you try these out! They work wonders!

Oily skins do best with a liquid foundation formulated to not just be oil-free, but oil controlling. There are compact foundations that are in a POWDER form that are okay for oily skin...Clinique makes two different ones. They have the coverage of foundation, but are actually a pressed powder.

Very oily skins shouldn't really use a compact cream-to-powder foundation. While these are normally oil-free, they have to contain a lot of moisture to maintain the cream form before being applied and exposed to oxygen. The moisture in these tends to make the oil rise from the skin and then it just sits on the surface and causes your make-up to slide around on your face. (think of an oil based salad dressing...you have to shake it because the oil rises to the surface)

I would suggest going to a make-up counter in a department store and talking to a consultant. They can recommend a foundation that is right for your needs.

Hope this helps....Good Luck!

You need a foundation that specifically mentions "Oil absorbing". I like Artistry's Flawless Coverage foundation, it's a powder, and the nice thing is that it doesn't clog pores, which really helps me keep my skin clear.

Mary Kay's Medium coverage foundation works very good for oily skin, it looks very natural and controls excess oil for up to eight hours. http://www.marykay.com/s_azad/color/foundations/default.aspx
