"Fad"? I think not. I'm a 35-year old man who has been getting the Led out for 20 years or more.

And Led Zeppelin has been recognized as important innovators in rock by many music experts for decades.

I agree that many young folks are indulging in nostalgia by re-discovering Led Zeppelin but their appeal is widespread and long-lasting. Hardly a fad.

(i am listening to kashmir at the moment..so my comment may sound preachy...but i mean every single word that i am about to say) -I DEFINITLY agree with you on that...i know alot of people..both old and young who have either known music from led zeppelin from the beginning or who have recently discovred the magic of their musical abilities (such as myself)..and i don't think it is a fad..fads last only for a few years..such as NKOTB...or..Boys II Men..however...zeppelin doesn't follow this "fad"-stream..they have been recognized as one of the greatest pioneers of rock..and have inspired countless up and coming artists..many bands have been formatted thanks to led..red hot chilli peppers...AC/DC...but a 40 year old fad?..there is no such thing in existence..led zeppelin (simply put)..is not a fad..but a revolutionary movement..that still lasts to this day....and for ever will....

a very strong argument could be made for that statement though in reality, knowing Led Zeppelin, they probably stole that line from Robert Johnson like just about every guitar lick Jimmy Page ever played.
