In school, I sat next to a kid that smelled like week old McDonalds.
My suggestion would be to spray lots of Lysol in your work area. It works really good at covering up smells.

I really feel for you and I'm at a loss. I understand how the smell could make you ill. Here is a website suggestion, use it ONLY if you haven't complained to anyone else at work, so they can't pinpoint the source, but if you have then I'd explain to your superior the problem. If they are uncooperative then I'd suggest going to a doctor and getting a note from him saying your workplace is making you ill due to the smell and you need to move to a more pleasant location. Her smell is disrupting the work environment and affecting your quality of work you could explain.
Ask your superiors to address something that's disrupting the workplace, but they also want to do it with a minimum of embarrassment - to themselves and to the employee,
Here is a list you could suggest to your boss.
* Talk to the employee. An anonymous note, e-mail, or leaving deodorant on the odiferous one's desk just doesn't cut it. Have a private, discreet conversation - employing as much sensitivity as possible - and acknowledge before you start that the topic is extremely uncomfortable.
* Realize that a diet or medical condition might be the cause of the problem. Gently suggest a visit to a doctor.
* Stress that the issue isn't merely a personal matter, as it is a workplace disruption that must be addressed.
* Don't become upset if the employee is extremely embarrassed and tries to end the discussion as rapidly as possible.
* Schedule a follow-up meeting in a few days to ensure the problem is being resolved.
If all else fails there's always:

Tell your boss. All companies have specific regulations for personal hygiene. She may not know she smells. We had a guy who just had the worst BO. The boss pulled him aside and asked if he had a medical problem. The guy said he didn't know but couldn't help it. So the boss agreed to give him an extra hour for lunch to go home and bath. The stink stopped for the most part though he'd start to get a little musty smelling around lunch and then again about quitting time.

The right way to handle this is not personally or directly, but to go to Human Resources after speaking with the boss.
Maybe the lady has a medical problem, but it is creating an uncomfortable work environment. HR will call her in and counsel her. If it is just a serious hygiene problem, she might just wake up and solve it. On the other hand, if she has a medical condition that causes the odor, HR may be legally obliged to isolate her in some small space so that she does not inconvenience others.
Good luck!

This is a situation that needs to go before the supervisor who ever that may be---it is considered a "work place envoirnment " thing and it DOES have to do with not only your comfort (which effects your productivity ) but also your health---as well as your attitudes about your job----all of which should be of extreme interest to the people who have you hired to do the best job they can have you do----if the supervisor is uninterested to help---find their boss and talk it over---this has to change for you---see that it does !!!!!

You should talk to your boss about it.Make your boss stand next to the stinky lady for 60 seconds & your boss will probably fire her on the spot.

Leave a can of deodorant with e note, "We can all smell you."
Brusque? Perhaps, but if she is as bad as you state, others will appreciate it.
