image always seems to end up plastered on your pillow the morning after. Money means you were out in the first place. self respect means you were out with a person or people who don't care if your image is on your pillow :)

It's a toss up. Self-respect, image and money all feed off of eachother. Self-respect is important to me. But what kind of respectable life can you live without enough money to at least get by and the ability to cast a good image, which is essential to social functioning? Without self-respect, you'd be hard pressed to project a good image and probably lack the motivation to make lots of money. Without a good image or persona no one would like you, which would make it very hard to get a job or make money. I think you need all three to be happy. Unless you are some sort of rich hermit, in which case you wouldn't need an image.

both,

each aids the other,

you can have self respect without immage and money but if you have self respect and a good immage, that will add to your self respect. if you feel confident in your self, you will be more appealing to others, you will get a better job and a better relationship,,
you will therefore be more content and self respectful.

they are interlinked in todays society,
the opera wanna bees will say other wise, but its best to have both, and indeed each follows the otheryou cant have self respect if your not pround of you immage and accomplishments (hence mass depression in the homeless who suffor from lack of immage and wealth, thus negating any chance of self respect.)
it goes on and on

Self respect, at the end of the day you cant lie to yourself, and even though you can buy image, you know what you are.

to me,... self respect.

But if you want to find a connection with someone, get married someday, or get Any action .... Image and money has a lot to do with it.
These days, there are lots of women & girls in particular who want it all, unfortunately "all" isn't necessarily inexpensive.

You better get a good job & get good looking, join the other trendy partying wannabes that make trendy consumables the reason the world is so polluted and otherwise not as nice as it used to be.

SELF RESPECT. Money and Image come and go and in the dark, it doesn't matter---but self-respect dwells within and is with you at all times

good image+money. ppl make way too much out of self respect...too much of it makes a really nasty egotistical person. it is better to be respected by others than to respect yourself: chances are if u have earned others respect, u are a good person, but any bastard can have self respect.
