It all depends on what type of locations you lie, if you like beaches then visit goa, pondicherry, andaman, lakshwadeep, if you like mountains then visit himachal pradesh, and the entire eastern india, dry regiosn to visit are gujarat and rajasthan...metro places are delhi and mumbai, moreover natural beaty is everywhere in India...kolkatta hs ganga sagar and old temples....kodai kana, Ooty, kerala and many such places offer great tourist attractions...

Suitability of a tourist spot depends on many factors like your own interests, weather conditions, time of visit etc. A best tourist place for one may not be the same for the other even within a family or group visiting together.
India has countless attractions at places for tourism purposes, be it its plains, mountains, sea shores, beaches, rivers, cities, country side, islands, deserts, backwaters, wild life.....

go to karela, its beautiful, jaipur you should go see the palace.
avoid the cities. go to Goa, probably the best in india, good food and night life.
