Hi, I would suggest in making a trip to Nordstroms, there brand is really good, I wouldn't use any sheer specially since you'll need black. I think you'll do good with control top.

If you like sheer like I do go to www.stockingstore.com and look under sheer pantyhose. They have a great selection and a lot of colors, and ship all over the world really fast. Me and my friends use them all the time.
Last year I wore stockings everyday to school because I got a great office job right after class and I had to dress up. I'm 16 and I didn't want to wear pantyhose for 10 hours straight, so I started with thi-highs, and then stockings. Now most of the girls here wear them instead of pantyhose. I really liked wearing the sheer kind, and now I wear them anytime I put on a skirt, or dress pants and heels.

All this summer and last spring I have been getting stockings from www.pantiesareus.com. I got an after school job, and it became full time all summer so I have been dressing up everyday.
They have some inexpensive sheer pantyhose on the site, plus tons of hold-ups and stockings which I prefer to wear. I wear thongs, and don't like my butt covered so that's why I prefer not to wear pantyhose. Check them out, they have some nice colors and styles for not too much money, plus a lot of other neat things.

My high school required navy blue.... and I remember that sheer (yeah, imagine sheer navy blue) just looked awful. I prefered the pinstripey kind when it was warmer and I didn't feel like shaving, and the opaque helped keep warm in the winter (what kind of ******* MANDATE skirts during the winter?!)
Try getting a few different kinds and brands to start off so you can find out what you like and what's comfortable to wear all day

If you have to wear black pantyhose get them as sheer as possible. Opaque black pantyhose look terrible. Why not wear stockings, most girls under 30 do?

I love the feel of sheer pantyhose, and they look so much better too. They feel so much better when sitting and crossing your legs all day. The opaque or non sheer kind can be scratchy and itchy wearing them all day at a desk.

Suggestion, maybe you can try wearing those opaque tights in the cooler months and probably something like L'eggs Comfort or Sheer Energy in the warmer months. You may also go for Opaque Knee Highs, I am sure they will look good. =)

i wouldn't go with knee highs because i always have a problem with them falling down, but go with some that go to your thighs because then you won't have to worry about anyone seeing the knee highs and trust me that looks tacky when you can see that someones wearing knee highs. plus you don't have to deal with the material pulled up over your underwear when you're wearing the control top...that's just a pain in the butt. so yeah go with some sheer thigh highs.
