Financial Analyst...sounds like the "actual" title and Accountant seems like the sub-group or keyword.

Is there a difference between Financial Analyst and an Accountant (in terms of salary and job responsibilities?)
Without knowing much about your situation, I would put down whatever you are doing now. If you are doing more accounting work, put that down. I am not sure what a Financial Analyst does, so that would be up to you.

In this particular case it seems that you are already considering moving on to another job. Otherwise why would you be working on your resume? The easy answer to this question is to list yourself as Financial Analyst/Accountant. Actually the title is less important than the description of your duties. Many companies are notorious for passing out important sounding titles instead cash to their employees. Human Resource and hiring managers are more concerned with what you did on your job and your ability to handle responsibility. Your resume is your showcase for your skills and abilities make the most of it by keeping it clean and to the point.

The one on your acceptance letter. your manager probably made the mistake and he probably thinks that both are the same thing, when actually financial analyst and accountant are two very different positions.
ps. Financial analyst has completely different responsibilities then an accountant, its not just a fancy synonym for it. Look it up!

If you job duties haven't changed since you were hired, you can put down either job description. An accountant would be easier to understand than a financial analyst. However, if you don't do that much accounting and do other finance tasks, then it would be best to use financial analyst.

Financial Analyst will give you more flexibility is searching for jobs, you will have more to apply for...accountant is a much narrower title...I would say you're a financial analyst on your resume but certainly include that one of your (many) functions is you perform acccounting tasks (AR, Payables, closing the monthly books, etc)....Financal Analyst gets into budgeting and forecasting.

One website continually! you will get your resume all the way down to a minimum of one website, yet that would not advise that's wide-unfold. you would be direct and to the factor of the activity itemizing and the employer. A resume basically gets skimmed so it should be to the factor and dynamic so it stands proud and shows you have the education and experience for the region. make sure that's of course written and has NO typos. Have it looked at via as a lot of human beings as a possibility who've experience with resumes and take all suggestion to concepts whether you won't agree. Take resume training at your college additionally. people who overview resumes for jobs are very picky.

I think that Financial Analyst is a fancy way of saying accountant. I would use the first one on my resume, it sounds better! ;)

What difference does it make? You've only been there a month, and if you're planning on moving again so soon, then the next company will not care what you were called, only that you have a history of changing jobs. Wait until you've been there for a year or two, and then put down the title that most aptly describes the workd that you did.
