It will still be the universe..Much bigger as it expands at a serious rate.
lol
Popular culture will still be big.
10 years isn't really that much so there wont be flying cars or invisability machines.
Love will still be big although marriage is on a downhill slope.
Green politics will grow if well watered. The invirnoment is getting much more energy put into it and lots more people are being affected.
I would wonder what you think is big today.
I gather you would reply with some gadget or other.
What's big today is the war that the US is carrying out and the response of other nations such as China and N. korea.
The injustice of the war in Iraq is what is big today and history will tell you that in ten years time.

I think the biggest thing will be how we interact on a social level. As it is now a good portion of how I interact with people is online, 10 years ago, a phone, before that letters, etc...
I mean as it is now you can get a date in the comfort of your own home. Instead of getting ready, primping your hair hitting a bar or club... now you can meet people in your underwear (sort of speak).
I can see it now, live vid chats that look like clubs. You click on a person say a cheesy line and dance with her, hopefully get her phone number, where you would text her your email address, buy her flowers via "something".com, maybe a even a box of choclates- have it sent to their home, webcam each other... before you know it, you have had the quality of maybe dating for a month within a few days, even hours.
So how does this impact our social skills?
We all become great typers.
So in 10 years time, how we all interact with the world will be the biggest thing.

Brain chips! They are being developed now and the first implants in humans were announced last week. In ten years they should be cheap enough and common enough that every body can have a fully functional brain, and won't that be fun!

I'd like to think that in ten years time (at most) we'd be asking ourselves why we continually seek pleasure in accumalating more possessions rather than detachment from them.
