The alcohol and water content of beer results in increase urine output which may cause a stone to be dislodged from the kidney thus if it cannot pass thru the ureters or urethra, it may result into a blockade.

Do you feel that you need to urinate and are not able to start a stream? Run, not walk to the nearest ER, or at least your primary care physician. If you are not able to start a stream, there are three reasons that I can think of off the top of my head---inflammation of the prostate, benign prostatic swelling and cancer of the prostate,

My father died of prostate cancer and it wasn't an easy death. Please get checked out now, not tomorrow!!

That could be something as serious as renal (kidney) failure, you should see a doctor.
