Whats your thoughts on Internet downloading?

Theres a big fuss over people downloading movies, music and games .. .just about everything. Is it really that bad or are people getting gready?

I think they are getting greedy. Music used to be about the emotions and the performance and the excitement. Now the music industry is just getting greedy. None of the artists that are adamantly against Internet downloading are at any kind of risk of going hungry. They're just worried that they won't be able to buy as many 200,000 dollar cars as they want, or they won't be able to by as many million dollar mansions as they want. The distribution of wealth in the country is horrible. If you are a popular artist, or athlete in the country you'll make tons of money, but if you've just got a regular job you have to worry about if you're going to be able to buy food, or get evicted because you don't have enough money to pay rent. It's ridiculous.

For smaller, independent bands that aren't as well known as others, internet downloading can be a good thing - it gets their names out there, and people are more likely to buy their albums if they've heard something and liked it, I think. For the larger groups that already make millions of dollars, I think the fuss over internet downloading is just greed - they're not getting the profits from it at all.

I think that people are greedy, they will never be able to completely stop this practice although they may be able to deter some of the online stuff, friends that know how to do it, will always share music, movies, and games.

well...i love it...cant beat free movies free music, and free games....it will never be stopped...they will always come out with new technology to stop it. but the computer minds of the world are much smarter than the entertainment world
