You could start by mixing a little cow's milk with the formula, then, increase the amount of cow's milk over a few days until it's
just cows milk.

According to my sons' pediatrician, you don't have to wean them. When they turn a year old, just give them whole milk. If your baby doesn't seem interested, then do it gradually like this:
Week one: When you make bottles/sippy cups for your baby, use 3/4 formula/breast milk to 1/4 cows milk.
Week two: 1/2 formula/1/2 cows milk.
Week three: 1/4 formula/3/4 cows milk.
Week for (and then on out): Straight milk.
I was very fortunate because my boys both loved milk from the time I gave it to them. Compared with formula, it's sweet and good, and doesn't taste like it came from a can. :) I think women who breastfeed usually have a more difficult time with this than women who formula feed.

I've been weaning since 11 months as formula is just too darn expensive. Try mixing half formula and half milk in a bottle, if your baby accepts it, then try 3/4 milk to 1/4 formula and see if your baby will drink it. This is much easier than just switching to milk cold turkey!

If for some reason you can't go cold turkey, try mixing the two and slowly decrease the amount of formula in the mixture until there is none. The taste shouldn't bother the kid too much if at all. If you have been using milk based formula then there shouldn't be any milk allergy. Most parents don't have much of a challenge with this switch. Just go for it!
Good luck!

Give you 1 year old half formula and half cows milk in his sippy or bottle. Soon the child will start to like it,every day add less formula and more cows milk. EX: 4 ounces formula 4 ounces cow's milk. next day 3 ounces of fourmula and 5 ounces of cows milk. Keep doing that untill the whold 8 ounces is cow's milk.

With my daughter I just went cold turkey and she was fine. However some children will not do this, so you should add milk to the formula little by little so that the baby gets used to it. You will have more and more milk in the bottle/cup each time until there is no formula.

When my 7 month old has a baby sitter I fill the bottle
1/2 way w/milk from me,and the rest of the way w/ skim milk.
The other milk is at room temp.so I let the other get that way
too and then the baby sitter gives it to her after
it's been shaken upfor 3 seconds.
She doesn't even taste the skim milk! She just just drinks
it all up! See how that works! :-D

Integrate the milk into the baby's diet. Start with a little bit of dairy products and then start occasionally giving the baby milk and decrease the frequency of giving formula until the baby is only drinking the milk.

My husband and I are weaning our son right now too!! This is how we're doing it...
For the first 4 days we used 6 oz. formula and 2 oz. milk in the bottle
Next 4 days: 4 oz. formula and 4 oz. milk
Next 4 days: 2 oz. formula and 6 oz. milk
Then it's all milk after that!!
We are still in stage 2 (4 oz. each) and he has had no problems adjusting so far...good luck !!

Well, you can give her 6 oz. of formula, then 2 oz. milk, then after a day or two, you can give her or him half formula, half milk, then so on until she is on the milk. I like to give my 1 year old Rice milk. It's called Rice Dream vanilla enriched, and it's soy based, so it's easy to digest (until about 18 mo., then I give my kids cow's milk). Good luck!!!
