There's not a woman alive who hasn't fallen in love with the Thornbirds, either the books or the series. It's about Australia, sheep farming,a priest and a little girl who REALLY grows up.
You would think that Rachel Ward would have been enough for Richard Chamberlain to give up other men, but I guess not.
Whenever it's on TV, I go to a bar and try to forget.

The Thornbirds was written by Colleen McCullough. It's really good. The setting is in Australia. Much of the plot revolves around a love affair between a young woman and a priest. Richard Chamberlain played the part of the priest in the movie.

A woman who falls in love with a priest. The mini-series starred Richard Chamberlain and Rachel Ward. Maybe you could rent it. A really good novel.

Read it. It is better to see the series starring Rachel Ward and Richard Chamberlain and it gives a better idea than me telling you and putting you off the novel.
