I speak three languages, two of which, Gaelic and Latin, are all but dead. I'm not sure they count.

wow I know Turkish or did before I move dto america all i can say now is Benim adim Ona if I wrote that right? LOL I speak enlish and I speak Urohobo my native lanaguage I learned a little Spanish and hope to futher that. I lived in Istanbul then Dyarbakir. My sister's boyfriend is German so want to learn enough to get by if I need to when I visit. I hear engkish is way to common in Germany

1 Malyalam (mother tongue)

4 Marathi (stayed there)
5 Arabic (childhood in the middle east)
6 French (2 nd language in college)
7 Can understand tamil, kannada, telugu, punjabi etc
In india this is common don't be surprised.

I'd say I only fluently speak one - English. However I figure I'm halfway fluent in Spanish if the person speaks slow enough...
And I can say "I love you, my little sea turtle" in sign language.

So.. 8.. if you count all of 'em.

To poster #1, LOL, "Asian" is not a language. There's Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc....
