How do I get into paintball?

I'd like to learn to play paintball and possibly play with the team at my school but first of all I just need to know things about it since I've never played it before. What gear is best for beginners (or girls) and how much would it cost? Also, I've heard the worst place to get hit is your neck, is this true? Thanks!

Paintball is not for the squimish, it is painful and at times even drawing blood, if you are willing to put up with that then go for it, you need a full face shield with goggles, a rapid fire gun with a dual trigger makes firing faster, camoflage clothes and bandana, and finally lots of money, it can get expensive especially the pellets. The worst place to get hit is anywhere skin is exposed, so the neck usually is the most exposed so that is why it hurts and marks you the most.

to try paintball I suggest renting equipment at your local field. bring long sleeves, pants in as many layers as the temperature will allow. and yes getting hit the neck stings but new players usually get shot in the goggles or gun.

just wear a long sleeve shirt, hoodie (put the hood over your mask after u put it on), snowpants, old shoes, start out with a decent gun... paintball is exspesive thats why i started playing airsoft last year (if you want 2 know about airsoft go 2 shorty airsoft.com)
