depends on where they are.
1. open floor=hammer
2. corners=cowboy boots
sorry, I just could'nt resist
there are lots of pestidides, millipedes ar not hard to kill.
if it's indoors and there are kids or pets I would recommend Ficam-W. It should be available at nurseries. I've been using it for the last 20+ years with toy poodles for all critters. vertually no smell, good residual action(2-3 months) it comes in a powder(each packet makes one gallon) I would mix it and spray everywhere, but especially around the borders. hope this helps OH, and buy some cowboy boots: faster, helps you loose weight and teaches you to dance(if the millipede get active)

Millipedes, pillbugs and such are attracted to areas of excess moisture. They commonly eat decaying matter. First i would try toning down any watering system you may have in that area of the house. Reducing moisture sources will cause them to relocate or die off.
Also a good perimeter treatment will reduce the numbers of insects getting into the area

Try Diatomaceous Earth, made from the finely ground fossils of prehistoric fresh water diatoms, kills common household and garden pests like roaches, ants, fleas, beetles and other listed insects. A long lasting control, Diatomaceous Earth sprinkles into cracks and crevices where bugs hide. You can find it at any garden center or harware store.

Millipedes are like worms in that they great for the soil. They eat decayed plant material and help in soil tunover through their burrowing through it. Check with a florist before adding to flower beds. otherwise collect them and place them in your lawn.
