A-Rod is simply providing the media with a soundbite.
Should he compare himself to Woods? I don't think so.
Should the media swarm him after every Yankees game regardless of the outcome? No.
I'm getting sick of every day ending with the all-important A-Rod interview. Why even play the game? It's always about him, no matter the score, no matter the statistics.
As a Yankee fan, I can't wait until he "pulls out of his slump" in the national media's eyes... This circus is getting out of control.

i think that Tiger is a caliber of athelete that very few can compare to, simply because he's so focused and so clutch. If you get close to him he kicks it up to a whole other level. Tiger, it can be argued is the best to play his sport (In my opinion hes only behind Jack Nicklaus), this is not true, however, for A-rod, who is not on the same level as baseball's titans.
I also think it is bizzare that he would compare his bad game to an athlete whose father recently passed away. A bad game is not nearly the same as the emotional pain tiger had to go through. (Besides, A-Rod lead the AL in errors last time i checked)

He shouldn't compare himself to Tiger. He's a hundred times better than Tiger, because hitting a baseball is a hundred times harder than hitting a golf ball. A baseball is coming at you at 90 MPH and the pitcher puts all kind of spin on it to fool the batter. A golf ball just sits there. You can take your time and line up your shot however you want it. How is that any sort of challenge? Golf is a total joke of a "sport".

Right now, A-Rod should compare himself to John Van de Velde. He hasn't done anything when it counted the most.
