Why is world so messed up?

Question

If you say you believe in Jesus (which I do!), then everybody is all hating you. If you say you are an atheist, they love you. Why does everybody have to be down on everybody all the time? (I know there are some out there that aren't like that, but there are to many people who aren't like that). How can I focus on the good when I am surrounded by the bad all the time?

I don't hate atheists. That wasn't the point of my question any way.

Sorry if I offend those people who actually believe in that gospel of judas stuff, but I think it is stupid.

Take heart, the Bible stated that you would be persecuted for your beliefs. Though many people scoff at the good book these days, it's still correct about much of what is going on.

If someone doesn't like you for your faith they aren't really worth talking to anyway. I may not believe the same as you do, but that doesn't give me the right to ridicule you about it. Its just people are afraid of what they do not know. Christians are afraid of atheists because atheists challenge their faith. Atheists are afraid of Christians because some Christians get a little ridiculous in their dogma, and many of the people runnng this country feel they must pander to the most ridiculous Christians of all like Jerry Fallwell and the crazed religious right. People just don't take the time to understand where each other are coming from. If Christian could realize that not everyone needs or wants to worship their God things would be better and if Atheists could realize that sometimes people need faith to get through the day and are happy with that then it might work. Problem is people are so stuck up about what they think and how they think they forget that other people don't necessarily think the same, and in the U.S. a free country where no one's religious beliefs or doctrines are to forced on others, it is scarey having those in high government positions pandering to the way-right.

Are you actually trying to play the part of the persecuted Christian? America is completely Christian, the word God is even on our money! There are more churches than you could ever visit in a typical life time, and the Christian right currently controls the government and the Supreme court.

Exactly how much more power do you need and want?

As for the world being messed up, stop complaining it is God's will that it is this way. He knew before He created Adam what the would would look like in 2006AD. He had the power to make it different but chose not to. Therefore the world is exactly as it is supposed to be. To question the state of the world is to question God, and who are you to do that?

Well....I am not a Christian but still I do believe in preaching of Jesus.....Bible is as sacred to me as our Holy book Geeta. And simply I don't think everybody hates everybody. There is tendency from the beginning of the formation of living planets that humanbeing apt to entwin in love-hate relationships. Its no wonder that holymen and saints were teaching us about the gains and losses from loving and hating. People were critical even in those days of Jesus and shall remain forever. The only point for us to believe in something....and that something is believing in goodness of ourselves. If you think a rose is a mark of good feeling, then all the world is ready to shine at you with lovely smile....if you keep thinking the same rose is made of decaying substances, then it is obvious that you are bound to feel the world is messed up.

there is only one true super god but he also made some lower gods before people were made.
one of these lower gods made people and the world you live in. that is why the world is messed up. it was created by a messed up lower god named saklas.Jesus was sent here to tell us this but the message got concealed and misunderstood as saklas controls this world
when you die you may realize this and get to go back home to the true world where you can be happy. maybe you will not and be trapped here again fo another life.( reincarnated)

The world doesn't seek God... Those who hate Christians is because they know that the truth is out there, and the enemy makes them have the anger towards real Christians.

Seek God and all his glory devote yourself to him, We all live in this world that is ruled by Satan, think about the fact that Christian must always be on guard, because the devil is a like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour, Spiritually.

Athiest are persecuted you have it backwards. The US is a christian society look at bush and his veto of stem cell research. U are nuts atheist are some of the most hated people by the christians and we don't hate the christians back because we are more tolerant of others beliefs where christians try to change everyone and if they don't they just say the hell with them their going to hell anyway.

Look at the big picture and take steps to make your life meaningful. If you believe, then heaven is the final stop. So, why be so attached to earthly values. People will only let you down. Remember, they sold out Jesus. They will sell you out also.

Some people just seem to want to dump on others - I don't know why. Maybe they feel bad about themselves and it makes them feel better.

Just focus on the positive people. Life is better that way.
