I would like to take my SEO skills up a notch but am not aware of any organization that offers such a certification.

There is no certification but there is a professional association.
Called Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization or SEMPO you can read about it here http://www.sempo.org.
Certification has been tried before but it is not suitable for the fast moving SEO industry.
The plain fact is that after lots and lots of experience, either you can SEO a website to be at the top of the search engines for very competitive keywords or you can't.
If you can then you make a lot of money by doing it for your own websites. If you can't then you can make a little money doing SEO for other people.

Not that I know of. I am thinking about starting an organization.
