After visiting his parents house,we were on our way to dinner, stopped at a red light and he brought the ring out. He was too nervous and excited to wait. It was a beautiful ruby with a 1 carat diamond on each side. We had only been together for 3 weeks, got married a few months later.( I used to tease him about how romantic his proposal was....lol ) He passed away from lung cancer 3 days after our 15th anniversary.
Oh and our initial meeting was a blind date! There was an instant chemistry connection going on, unbeleivable! I remember it like it was yesterday!

Put together a book of comics and cartoons reflecting a relationship all the way from meeting, dating, proposing, getting married, being married, to old age and presented it with a ring affixed to the last page.

Christmas last year, we had just finished eating breakfast and I was kinda down because he hadn't gotten me anything for Christmas. He, my fiance, asked me what was the matter and I started complaining and really making a big fuss about him not getting me a gift. He then says I did get you a gift and whips out my engagement ring and says, "...would you be my wife?" I am shocked and speechless. Once I realize what has happened, I start to scream and cry and I feel so bad for getting angry with him. I said yes and we are getting married this fall.

Lead in: I played poor man for a year leading into the engagement.

Christmas Morning: I snuck the engagement ring into her stocking. We arrived home from Midnight mass and were finishing up wrapping, cleaning, etc. She asked if I wanted to open a present , I agreeed and she handed me the one she was most excited about giving me. I suggested she look in her stocking. I then very timidly asked her to marry me, at which point she screamed, then started smacking me saying I better not be playing with her. After she realized it wasn't a joke, she accepted.

Well my husband asked me twice!
First time: We met in Junior High School. I was 13 (8th) and he was 15 (9th) ~ We were talking one day and he took my hands and told me that he loved me and said, "Will you marry me one day?"
Second time: 7 yrs. later... He asked me on Christmas '99 at his Grandparents house in front of his entire family (Aunts, Uncles, cousins, parents, brother & sister) and a heirloom ring. It was so sweet.
We'll be married 6 yrs. this Saturday :)
