I used to have writer's block. I solved it by telling myself that when I sat down to write, whatever I produced wouldn't be seen by anyone. It was just a way to get momentum going. That made it so much easier, since the pressure to write well went away.
Then, I found that some of what I wrote actually was good and I didn't have to throw it away. It would become the basis that I could then hang other writing on.
Hope that makes sense?

I saw a book in a bookstore once called "The Writer's Block". It was small and shaped like a block and on each page it had an idea of something to write. It was probably around 300 pages long. Maybe pick up that book.

when I get author's block (or artist's block of any variety for that count) I take an incredible walk out alongside the fields and up into the foothills around my residing house. I shop removed from roads and that i attempt to maintain removed from people. this is incredibly helpful to easily close off each and all the mechanical sounds that are around each and all the time and enable your strategies relax. once you're an extremely people orientated individual, i could advise going someplace this is busy and watch people as they bypass with the aid of. Have lunch someplace busy and have in mind the folk around you, look at what they're donning, what varieties of boots they have on, what are you able to tell approximately their personalities whilst they're status in line, sitting or leaving? look at how they have interplay with others. do no longer attempt to rigidity your self to place in writing, becuase i've got got here across it makes the block worse. then you quite're intentionally thinking which you're no longer having something arise on your strategies in the way of information or poetry.
