But if you really are Vasko..you would be Macedonian..and proud of that too :-))
BTW There is nothing wrong in being Albainian..and it is a good thing not something to make fun off!!

I ought to slap you for feeling shame for who and what you are! But if that pic is actually you, you're too cute for that.
Seriously, STOP claiming to be something else. You're Albanian; you've got a lot to be proud of. You have even more to be proud of because you've actually admitted to having this complex. It takes a real man to admit that, and well...heck, that real man just so happens to be Albanian.
You don't have to go around waving the Albanian flag at every opportunity you get (even though it is a cool flag!) and you don't have to wear your Albanian ethnicity like a badge or anything like that, but you are what you are and that's a part of what makes you as great, sexy, smart, wild, crazy, funny, goofy, fragile, and HUMAN as everyone else, and well...just look at that part of you and start small. Find something NEW in yourself to be proud of each day and hold on to that. You don't have to be proud to be Albanian in a week or a month, but once you start to see that there is all sorts of good stuff about YOU as a person, it's going to get easier to see that being Albanian is just one of those things that makes you YOU.

What are the reasons you are feeling shame for it? I can think of no reason that there would be more or less shame to bare from being any of the nationalities you have mentioned. Do people really believe you when you tell them that you are a chair? And where is chair? Please, take into consideration that you could have been a Texan. There, don't you feel better now? ( I am so kidding.) What I really meant was, you could have been a Bush.)

i can't imagine what the albanians have done that would cause such a problem. if you're thinking of the balkan conflict some years back, there's a lot of blame to go around, generally. plus you had no part in that , personally, anyway. otherwise it's a culture like any other with "good" and "bad. plus, john belushi was albanian, as i recall, and you get some points for having him as a "brother". just stop!

Never be ashamed of something you aren't responsible for. Don't be ashamed if your boyfriend gets drunk at a party. Don't be ashamed if your underwear falls down around your ankles. DO be ashamed if you accidentally insult someone.
And don't be ashamed of being Albanian. Alexander The Great's mother was Albanian, and your people have a long and extremely interesting history.

Ok, a little odd...anyway, nothing wrong with being a member of any culture. Basically every nation on earth has done something at some point to someone else. While that doesn't justify history, you can't hold the actions of a nation against its people, and nobody should feel ashamed of who they are.
