If you mean passion as "physical attention" and romance as an emotional connection, I will have to betray the entire male gender and choose romance.
Everyone loves "a roll in the hay," but if you don't have a connection with the person you are having sex with, it really is awkward and can leave you with an empty feeling.
Having a deep personal connection with someone is more important to me.
Maybe it's just that I'm older, and the hormones are slowing down!

Too much passion might not be able to do the job. Romance once a month is bad for relationship. I would go for passion twice a week....

passion every day would be too demanding,what with work and sleep.
romance once a month might conflict with that other once a month thing...
i'll stick with the sex once a week if i'm lucky thing...
