actually, the ending was completely different from the book. In the book, Sauniere was Sophie's grandfather, and the woman and boy at the final chapters were her true grandmother and brother. None of these things were played out in the movie, a huge difference alone.

I think the movie was pretty good. I have since learned that the book is ALWAYS better. A reading experience and a viewing experience are entirely different, and you can't combine the two. The book was fantastic as a book, the movie great as a movie, but who can beat the power of words and imagination? The movie is in a different league, and as a movie alone it was wonderful. Of course, the book beat it out.

Read the book and watched the movie. I was impressed with the movie, simply for the fact that if he would have stayed completely true to the book, the movie would have been about 6 hours long. And I thought the ending was pretty cool. It wasn't that much different than the book, and he did it well.
Sauniere was her grandfather in the movie too.

The Da Vinci Code is a fiction e book. Dan Brown exchange into no longer attempting to make any deep factor or exhibit unknown data approximately Christianity. some historic aspects of the e book are authentic. He tells the reader what they're interior the commencing up of the e book. Dan Brown is a secret author. in case you look on the different books he wrote - Angels & Demons, digital citadel and Deception factor - all of them persist with the proper comparable format. He writes books approximately conspiracies. In digital citadel and Deception factor the conspiracies could do with the government. In Angels & Demons and Da Vinci Code, the conspiracies could do with faith. Angels & Demons and Da Vinci Code grew to alter into very known, so he's continuing to place in writing books centering around the character Robert Langdon. this would not exchange the reality that he's a novelist and those books are merely novels. Works of fiction.

I thought he did well. I enjoyed the book - it's never easy to make a novel that's more of an interesting lecture into a hollywood movie. So the movie was good at giving the gist - the general idea, something to think about, which was most important. I was very happy that they toned down the romantic thoughts between the main characters, and I felt that the ending was still on-target with the message the novel was putting forth, in probably a bit more clear and concise way.

I loved the Da Vinci Code book, it is one of the best written books in history, but I believe the movie did not do it justice. Tom Hanks did a poor job as Robert Langdon, and I didn't like how they changed the end either.

I believe the book was awesome. I read it in a very short time. Probably the best book I have ever written. The same can't be said for the movie. It was ok. It's definately not Oscar material.

No, but it isn't surprising taking into consideration that pretty much all movies based on books change half the details.

Since it wasn't that well-written of a book to begin with, anything would have been better.
