With all the bombs being exploded on the ground in the middle east and else where in the world, what are the chances that the bombs may trigger an earthquake and/or tsunami? (The butterfly effect)

How can you tell if repeated bombings in the same place destabilize the tectonic plates. My main concern I guess is the plate that ends in Saudi Arabia.... It looks to be related to the quake area that caused the tsunami in Indonesia.

Earthquakes happen becauser of stress buildup. After enough stress is built, then an earthquake can happen equal to that stress. For one thing, a bomb will not nessacerily put stress on a fault in the same way that tectonics do, so no amount of bombs will add to the stress. Even if the bomb went off in a way to add stress, it is so small it will not make a difference (Hiroshima would be the same as ~Magnitude 5). The only possibility would be a triggered earthquake that is ready to go beforehand.

there is no chance. in the most general physics of the matter. think about the amount of earth in the area (at roughly 230 lb/yd^3) and the amount of force that a bomb makes (only the downward force, most of energy goes up and to the sides) then there is no way that the earth would even feel it. not to mention that these are occuring spaced apart. the scales are not in compariosn as the amount of force that would require is orders of magnitudes larger to impact.

look up how much earth settled for the indian ocean tsunami. no bomb will move that much earth.. that we have.... yet

no to us we think it is tremendous ,but to the earth and tectonic plates it is nothing.Power for an earthquake is so small it is like a fly landing on a table. An earthquake of 4 is small and in the measurement scale a 4.1 is 10 times the rout power of a 4 . Thanks

The energy released by a bomb is very very much smaller than an earthquake. I guess it could trigger an earthquake so that it happens 2 seconds earlier than it would have otherwise.

A very large or nuclear bomb planted deep within a earthquake fault
zone may indeed "shake it loose" and cause an earthquake
however the bombs & rockets & artillery dropped onto
the surface are very very unlikely to have any affect on earthquake
zones...
