Take the trash out every night before bed. Don't forget bathroom and office trash, even though there may not be food in there. Wash your dishes, or at the very least, get them stacked and ready to go, with no standing water in them. Pour a quarter cup of bleach down every sink and shower drain. Cover or plug drains to keep the bleach smell from bugging you. Many of these things breed in the standing water of your dishes and drains. It usually takes a week of doing this, because the living, flying ones will take time to die out.
