If you purchased a home from a home developer, you really don't have a say in the matter. The model they chose has their bedroom beside your kitchen. You have no choice in the matter. Builders are building homes 10 feet apart from eachother, and we all know how uncomfortable that is. It happens all the time. Go look in any newer subdivision. It's all over the place.
Before you buy the lot it looks huge. After the house is on it it still looks big. Once homes are on both sides of your home, it looks small and you wished you would have bought a larger lot.

id personally put net curtains up and that would give you alot of privacy, they as someone else has already said must of been granted planning permission to do this, you just cant go ahead and do it,im surprised though that a letter wasnt sent out with the plans to neigbours either side asking what there views were, as they usally do this out of common decency, but there again decency is sometimes hard to come by in this world.
you can appeal against it, but you might be on a losing battle and just make matters worse with bad feelings etc,not alot else really you can do.sorry couldnt help you more best of luck though.
suppose you could make enquiries through a planning permision officer about what options you might have left regarding this.

Check that the plans have (A) been submitted (B) followed correctly.
There was a case a couple of years ago when a developer built some flats I metre closer to the neighbours than he should have.
He was ordered to tear down the building

initially, take care of this fence employer, it is going to no longer have been erected on your land, no count if or no longer you very own or hire the home, makes no distinction. which you will in regulation, have this fence eradicated and positioned up the place it is going to likely be. Secondly, did the neighbour positioned up this conservatory himself or did a employer of experts do it? the two way, examine that he had making plans permission to do it. If he had making plans permission, you will could have had a letter from the council approximately it. this could have given you the probability to merchandise and to work out the plans, in the previous than development began. If permission was once no longer granted then your neighbour must be made to demolish it, quite bearing in mind the boundary fence and so on. make sure jointly inclusive of your community making plans place of employer.

I understand you want your privacy, but what the heck are you doing in your kitchen to need so much privacy? Put up a curtain. You can see in their window too, just as they can see in yours.

I am afraid that if they went through the right planning proceedures then there is little you can do now apart from putting up a blind in your window the venician ones are best as you can slant them so you can see out but they cant see in

What could you possibly be doing in the kitchen? LOL! Nevermind, get some blinds or something. Maybe reporting it would do something.
