I HAVE & YES I DEFINITELY YELLED AT HIM. THIS IS HOW IT WENT.....I HAD AN EX-BOYFRIEND THAT WAS STALKING ME & MY KIDS. I WAS AT WORK & HE KEPT CALLING & THREATENING ME, FINALLY THE LAST TIME HE CALLED HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO THE SCHOOL TO GET MY KIDS & KILL THEM....WELL, I STILL HAD 3 HRS TO GET OFF WORK SO I CALLED THE POLICE & THE SCHOOL & TOLD THEM WHAT WAS GOING ON & THEY SENT SOME COPS TO MY KIDS SCHOOL......IN THE MEANTIME I TOLD MY BOSS THAT I WAS GOING THERE TO MEET THEM & HE TOLD ME TO LET THE POLICE HANDLE IT & IF I LEFT THEN NOT TO COME BACK......NEEDLESS TO SAY, I TOLD HIM TO KISS MY *** & GO F*** HIMSELF & I LEFT.
THE POLICE WERE THERE WHEN I GOT THERE & EVERYTHING EVENTUALLY WORKED OUT BUT, I THOUGHT THERE WAS SOMETHING VERY WRONG WITH MY BOSS TRYING TO MAKE ME CHOOSE BETWEEN MY KIDS SAFETY OR MY JOB......I CHOSE MY KIDS.

Have never been fired from a job before but, i think it will not be very good or wise for you to yell at your boss or who ever that is concern when you experience such thing(s) cos it will not prove you right when you do instead, the contrary will be the resulting effect. Moreover, if you did not yell at him: you are bound to leave a positive lasting impression on him even doubt as to what he has done to you.
wishing you peace of mind now and always. Cheers!

Yes, I have been fired from a job. No, I did not yell at the boss before leaving. Although they fired you, you need to think of the future when you leave. They will be the ones talking to your next employer, so you want to leave on the best of terms that the situation will allow.

Damned right I yelled at the boss. I got fired from a banquet hall for complainling when I saw them SAVING LEFTOVERS from the dining tables. A cook heard me grumbling, she told the boss man and he fired me on the spot. When I told him it's illegal to save food from the tables, he told me he simply didn't care. I pointed out a half a dozen other health code violations that I had noticed in this prominent establishment in our city and all he could say was "you don't run this place." I felt like saying "and you don't run it very well." I worked in institutional kitchens for many years and had training in virtually every aspect of food sanitation, health and safety. I had job security and was at least somewhat accustomed to receiving respect for my job knowledge such that my input was valued. I guess I wasn't aware of how little some small business operators care what employees think.
My mistake, I sure. Read my profile, I'll admit what a bullheaded old b*st*rd I can be at times.

Once, in my younger years, I worked in a Donair shop in the food court of the mall. A customer complained on how guys would be hanging around our counter all day - they were there to see my co-worker. When the boss came to talk to us about it, my co-worker denied any knowledge of it and claimed they were my friends....I was canned! I didn't yell at her tho, I did however, wait until the lunch hour line was at it's longest, took off my apron and walked out. I then sat at the closest table to watch the boss work her *** off for a change! It was worth it! BTW, it never hurt my chances of getting another job.....and now, I AM the boss!!!!

I have been fired, and I did not yell at my boss. Though he was wrong to fire me, I feel it would have been a waste of my energies that I needed to find another job with a positive outlook. Yelling just angers my blood.

I have never been fired from a job. but i have however, been in a serious arguement with my boss.
I was really tired one day, and i wasn't my usual happy/perky self. instead of my boss leaving me alone to just chill, he found it funny to wind me up, when i just wasn't in the mood for it. I got into this huge arguement with him infront of the customers... He sent me home to get some rest. I thought that i would be fired for it, but he said that it was the first time an employer had spoken to him like that and that he deserved it...

yes, i was fired once. i didn't yell at the boss -- that's one thing i've learned... never ever show emotions at work -- no crying, no anger, nothing.
however, 3 weeks later -- she called me and wants me back. (talk about swallowing her pride) so i did. but i finally quit months later because of school and we were both ok with it. it's always best if you end in good terms.
and besides, you may need your former boss to give you a good recommendation someday.

Yes I was fired. I left peacefully because I knew I was right and she was nuts. I did yell out to the office "Good luck to the next poor fool who takes this job!"

You should never lose your composure and resort to shouting at your boss - you should leave with a little dignity - also, if you're a real a s s hole to your boss before you leave he does ultimately have to write your reference for any other job you look for - so you want him to say nice things - he's got enough bad things to say if he's fired you - you don't want to hand him a loaded gun to shoot you with.
