Evolution is not about becoming better, it is about surviving and reproducing, survival of the individual, survival of the species.
As things are, we do not need to be so "good" as our ancestors at a lot of things, because we have invented things to help us. We do not need strength or physical skills like the stone age people did. We do not need the same health and ability to fight disease, we have doctors and hospitals. We do not have to survive extreme weather because we have weatherproof houses and good clothing. Nowadays people who have all sorts of conditions that would have disabled them in the past, are able to live full and happy lives, and make a good contribution to society.
We do not know what the future holds, Human history has always moved in fits and starts, with progressions and regressions, Empires rise, and fall.
We are the product now, not of nature, but of our own society and culture. We affect nature more than it does us.....for the moment.

I read that humans will no longer evolve physically. However, evolution will take place internally. For example, our immune systems might grow stronger so our bodies can fight off the biological warfare that is probably coming our way.
I heard the reason why we will no longer evolve physically is because humans have advanced to a point where it is no longer needed. Example: Most humans live in cities that have the confort of air conditioning and heat. We will not evolve to be more hairier or hairless. We use machines to do most of our labor, so I doubt that we will ever evolve to super strength. As we are not force to swim in water everyday to find food (we have nets and fishing polls), so we will never evolve to having webbed feet or gills.

I hear humans are losing the canine teeth (they are the ones on either side of your two front teeth) many people are born now with no roots on those teeth and it seems to be a dominant gene. Also thumbs are getting stronger from texting.
There is a theory called 'the tendancy towards complexity' and the human body is very complex.........life started as amoeba like creatures and theoretically we are the most evolved, particularly with the big frontal lobes that humans have. The frontal lobe is where we think and so humans have evolved to think..... sadly many people dont know this and dont do it much.

We've hampered ourselves a bit as we have invented loads of things so the weak can go on living. To truly evolve we need competition. Unfortunately, money means anyone can have what they want so the competition is cut out a bit.
We are still evolving, but not in the physical way we used to.

Well of course we are going backwards as a race, why in the last hundred years alone we have regressed so far that we have landed on the moon, cracked the dna code, found cures for untold deseases. Yes, I see where you are evolving from, wow, !

Evolution is a process in which living things undergo changes in a long period of time because of changes in surroundings and conditions. Eventually conditions will change on earth and will become unlivable for humans. But humans are intelligent. So humans will find a way out by going on another planet or by trying to create a livable environment on earth. So chances of human evolution are thin.

"The human being is said to be the crown of evolution and therefore able to control his environment. Our observation, however, is that the human being is completely controlled by the material energy in various ways(advertisement, TV, radio, newspaper, disease, old age, etc.) "
We are not this body :-) we HAVE this body. We are spirit souls, and when our bodies die we migrate to another one depending on our Karma. Animals only progress up towards humans..where as humans can migrate downwards or upwards.
In the Bhagavad Gita it says (2.13)
dehino 'smin yatha dehe
kaumaram yauvanam jara
tatha dehantara-praptir
dhiras tatra na muhyati
As the embodied soul continuously passes, in this body, from boyhood to youth to old age, the soul similarly passes into another body at death. A self-realized soul is not bewildered by such a change.

we are evolving into a more superior race of mammals; we no longer need our appendix ( which was used to grind the bones and hairs ) that our 'first' ancestors ate and digested like the mammoths. If we could only have peace then our existance would stand a chance.

We are at a cross roads of science fiction/fact.
We have the knowledge now to play god.
(Doctors decide if you live or die etc)
We have the knowledge to grow new hearts ears and other body parts. (Not too successful in mass producing YET!!!!!)
We have developed human / robotic interfaces.
Only recently in the news was a cripple who has had implants into his brain and can control a computer via thought.
NOW HOWS THAT FOR EVOLUTION>>>>>>
BEAT THAT GOD HUH.
he didnt make us perfect, but we can make our selves perfect.
(Well not really, you will still have a ss es like me chundering on.)
We can make designer babies, we can clone things.
We will choose our next evolutionary step.
DO NOT DISMISS THIS.
DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.
THIS IS FACT.
Lots of love from the devil.
