mine does that too; it's the interference of the waves between the 2 objects

Your monitor screen movement is caused by the magnetic field induced around your mobile phone when near the monitor. That's why there are warnings on computers, monitors, most electronic equipment warning about interference. The burning sound could also be caused by the interference, the burning smell - well, if fairly new, sometimes they do give off a burning smell, if it's older and in a dusty environment, it could be dust burning on high voltage areas of the monitor, and also, but less likely, the phone could be causing some problems in the "flyback" (high-voltage) transformer in the monitor.
Best solution, just don't keep the phone near your computer.

The interference is not unusual -- you may also notice it if you're talking on a normal telephone and have a cell phone in your pocket.
I would be more concerned about the burning sound and smell. If it is present when your phone isn't near the screen, you may have a short in your monitor that needs to be checked out. If it's only when the phone is near the screen, then I'm not sure what that means.

huh...please do not worry too much ..it is all obvious.if a phone is in vibrate mode..it will slightly shake objects near it..and if the speakers anywhere near a mobile phone are on...it will make a buzzing noise and will eventually shake other objects by sound..>Simple common sense and a bit of physics..if it is something else ..and if u think iam going off the point...don't think iam a fool...coz iam clever enough to judge these usual things that happen EVERYDAY..smelling u mentioned might just be a mind mix friend...the monitor is obviously at your home and at home u cook and use electricity..burning does happen??wonder it doesn't at ur place????

Unlug it immediatly. After it has sat for a couple of hours, you can blow the dust buildup out of it with canned air. You can purchase canned air at Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Radio Shack, etc.
This will hopefully help. When you do plug it back in-pay close attention. If it has the burning smell again, unplugg it and get a new monitor. At this point, it is a fire danger.

You know that nice new flat panel monitor you have been wanting? Time to buy it. Sounds like the current monitor is about to die on you if it is really burning. But interference from a phone is normal.

This happens to me at work with the computer speakers and at home with my radio alarm clock. It even happens in my car. When a mobile phone is about to ring, the speakers pick up the incomeing signals and it creates a fuzzy crackling sound. As far as I know it will not harm speakers. It's never happened to my monitor though.

I don't think something is really burn, so you should not be worried. The signal of your cellphone disturb the signal from your computer and that's why the picture is shaking and the speaker making sounds. Nothing to worry, really. Just put your cellphone away from computer...

The mobile phone probably makes your speakers buzz too. Just keep it away from your monitor and it will stop.
