Weight is not a factor regarding if you can or can't get your navel pierced. You do need to be aware, however, you will not be able to wear clothing that rubs on the piercing because it will irritate it and could cause problems with healing.

You can, but I don't recommend it. I know one girl who is kinda overweight and has a navel piercing, but she's doing well with it. However, in most cases, the navel ring tends to stick to you clothes and if you pull your shirt off while it's stuck, you could risk ripping the piercing out.

Sure you can...and this isn't meant to sound harsh but I agree with other people. Bare bellies aren't really that great to begin with, but when you're overweight, it isn't that pleasing to look at and seems trashy.

I've seen it, not a pretty sight....not being mean or anything, but my hubby wanted me to get one and I'm just not comfy about that idea because I don't have one of the precisely-flat tummies that all the girls wish they had, just a little pooch...a little one, really...

Seen lots of fat girls with naval piercings. It does look gross because then they won't cover up their gut!
