My husband thinks it weird that I like to smush up the avacado and smear it on toast. He gags but it's so good? How do you eat your avacado?

I grew up in the South. My family had an avocado tree in our back yard. My mom would spread it on bread, add some salt and make sandwiches.
You can make a shrimp/avocado cocktail: mix some 1/2 cup ketchup with 1/4 cup orange juice in a cup; add onions and garlic salt. In a bowl, put the shrimp on the bottom, then the avocado and the sauce on top. Eat with saltines.
You can make guacamole: mix a large avocado with a small diced tomato. Add the juice of 1/2 a key lime and salt. Eat with chips. (To keep it from turning dark, wrap the bowl with plastic).
I've read that avocado has the kind of fat that reduces cholesterol in adults and it is so healthy you can feed it to small children.

Hey, tell your husband he should try it, maybe you should serve him a plate of meat, white rice, beans and a slice of avocado.....I am from Puerto Rico and almost everyone eats avocado just about every single possible way.....it is best with a plate of food. If you ever have the urge for some "puerto rican" taste you can write to my e-mail and I'll explain how to do the beans, season the meat, etc etc....

So enjoy the avocado, which is not only good but nutritious....also, if you use other ingredients with it you can have beautiful, soft skin and healthy hair.
